Living Lake Country -- What is Culling?
The governor signed the bill at the Golden Mast Inn on Okauchee Lake near Oconomowoc last Friday morning. The bill's author, Republican Rep. Joel Kleefisch of Oconomowoc.Culling refers to catching a fish, keeping it in a live well and then throwing it back after catching a bigger fish. The practice is illegal in Wisconsin, but the bill creates an exemption for bass tournaments. Kleefisch says the change will draw larger tournaments to the state.
Friends of mine were on hand for the event -Republican Rep. Joel Kleefisch of Oconomowoc, Aaron David and Mike Simonds!
